Camp Nooteeming
Proud Camp Nooteeming, situated in the heart of Dutchess County, is the Hudson Valley
Council's northern camp. Nooteeming is translated as "Men of the Woods" and from
its tenure as a Boy Scout summer camp to its current incarnation as the site for
Cub Parent Weekends, Cub Scout Day Camp, and the council's overnight Cub Scout
Adventure Camp, it has been helping boys grow into men for more than 80 years.
Camp Ranger Daryl Bucknor welcomes all to camp and to become "Men of the Woods"!
Directions to the Camp can be found at the bottom of the page.

Cub Scout Summer Camp Programs

If this will be your first experience at camp, then rest assured we would do everything to make your son's (and yours!) experience the best possible! Take some time with your son, if you can, to share that with him. These memories are priceless and last a lifetime.

CAMP NOOTEEMING SPECIAL SUMMER SLEEP-AWAY PROGRAMS
In addition to our Cub Scout Day Camp, we offer two other special programs at Camp Nooteeming in 2008! They are Webelos Week and Adventure Camp Sessions. Read below to learn more or download the information from this website!
NOOTEEMING WEBELOS WEEK !
FOR WEBELOS ONLY! The Webelos part of the Cub Scout program introduces him to new adventure as he prepare to cross the bridge into Scouting. Webelos features more hands on skills than he has seen in the Tiger, Wolf, or Bear programs.
From the moment that your son and his fellow Webelos arrive at Camp Nooteeming on Sunday afternoon till they depart on Friday afternoon, he will be immersed in a program based solely around the Webelos experience. Campers will stay in tents, have meals provided to them in the dining hall, and experience an expanded Cub Scout program just for Webelos. Space is limited. We encourage you to register as a den for this adventure! This special week of adventure is open to boys entering the fourth and fifth grades in the fall of 2008.
Dens and packs are highly encouraged to register together.
For every five boys from a pack who attend, an adult can come for free!
Dates: July 6-11
Fee: $300 ($275 if paid in full before April 30th)
THREE-DAY SESSION ADVENTURE CAMPS
Want to get more of the summer camp experience? Ready for Adventures in the Woods? Then have we got a program for you!
New for 2008 at Camp Nooteeming are Cub Scout Adventure Camps! Come spend your nights with "Knights in the Woods"!
Unlike Day Camp, you arrive on either a Sunday or a Wednesday and depart after spending three days & three nights of adventure at camp! Sleep in wall tents! Go Fishing! Shoot Bows & Arrows! Make a bulls-eye at the Shooting Sports range! Campers receive three full meals a day in the dining hall from our camp cook. This program is open to all boys entering the second through fifth grades in the fall of 2008. Pack your flashlight!
This program is ideal for the young scout who may not be ready to be away from home the entire week or the parent who can't take off a whole week from work. What could be more fun than spending a few days in the woods living the lore of knights of old?
