CUB SCOUT DAY CAMPS "KNIGHTS IN THE WOODS!"

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Does your son like field sports, archery, nature, fishing, shooting sports, campfires, and other adventures? Then Day Camp is the place for him!

Day Camp is open to all boys entering the 2nd through fifth grades in the fall of 2008. Cub Scout Day Camps operate Monday through Friday. Each day's program includes a full day of Cub Scout activities. All programs are integrated into this year's day camp theme of "Knights in the Woods". Your son will have so much fun at day camp, you'll want to go yourself!

CUB SCOUT DAY CAMP AT CAMP NOOTEEMING

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Does your son like field sports, archery, nature, fishing, shooting sports, campfires, and other adventures? Then Day Camp at Camp Nooteeming is the place for him!

The Indian word Nooteeming is translated as "Men of the Woods" and that is what Camp Nooteeming is all about! Located in Pleasant Valley in Dutchess County, it has a rich history of over 80 years of camping tradition.

Cub Scout Day Camp at Camp Nooteeming operates Monday through Friday for three sessions. It is open to all boys entering the 2nd through fifth grades in the fall of 2008.

Parents drop off their children in the morning and the adventures begin! Each day's program includes a full day of Cub Scout activities, lunch, and their day ends at 4:00 PM. All programs are integrated into this year's day camp theme of "Knights in the Woods".

Your son will have so much fun at day camp, you'll want to go yourself! In fact, if you volunteer to be a den leader for the week, your child can attend for free!

Fees: $200 per week ($175 if paid before April 30th)

CUB SCOUT DAY CAMP AT CAMP BULLOWA

Nestled in Northern Rockland County, Camp Bullowa offers fun for all Cub Scouts this summer. This year's theme is Knights in the Woods! Camp Bullowa Day Camp is a growing, learning, active outdoor program providing experience in all aspects of the Cub Scout program. We feature numerous activity areas such as swimming, field games, crafts, physical fitness, boating, nature, archery, campfires, bar-be-ques, and other events. All together it adds up to: Fun, Adventure, and New Opportunities. Camp is a meaningful, educational summer program, a fulfillment of the purposes of the Boy Scouts of America- Character Building, Citizenship Training, Physical and Mental Fitness, and most of all FUN!

Cub Scout Day Camp runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There are five periods, beginning the week of July 7th and ending the week of August 4th. Each week is one period. Your son can attend as many periods as he would like. The camp operates rain or shine. The Dining Hall, Nature Lodge, Craft Lodge, Scoutcraft Lodge, and Gazebos provide plenty of shelter during inclement weather. Your son will enjoy a structured day of activities in a den of boys his own age, under the supervision of the Camp Bullowa staff.

Bus transportation is included with the fees. Upon receipt of your per week deposit, you will be sent a confirmation letter containing bus schedules, medical forms, permission slips, and other pertinent information. If you live within an hour of camp, there is probably a stop near you! A tentative bus schedule is included in this brochure.

FEE STRUCTURE: 1 Week is $275. For each additional week attended, the fee is $240 per week.

CHESTER AREA CUB SCOUT DAY CAMP- July 7-11, 2008

Are you ready for Cub Scout Day Camp? This year's staff promises that it will be a week of fun, advancement and adventure at a camp close to home. Each day's program filled with a variety of exciting activities including shooting sports, nature, crafts, games, field sports, science and advancement opportunities. Your son will be assigned a den and a den leader. Camp is located at the Chester Commons Park in Chester, NY.

Located in the Chester Commons Park, Cub Scout Day Camp features a variety of exciting activities for your child during the week of July 7-11. Camp runs from 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Drop your son off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon.

Under the supervision of trained staff, boys are grouped in dens and work on age appropriate activities. Archery! Crafts! Nature! Shooting Sports! Science! Athletics! It is a great way for your son to spend part of his summer!

On Friday, you are invited to join your son, other campers, and their families for a closing campfire featuring songs, games, and skits. Come see for yourself why son comes home each day with a large smile on his face!

Camp is open to all boys will be entering the first through fifth grades in the fall of 2008.

TOWN OF MAMAKATING CUB SCOUT DAY CAMP- August 18-22, 2008

New for 2008! The Hudson Valley Council will host a day camp in the town of Mamakating the week of August 18th through the 22nd.

Located in the Town Park in Mamakating, each day features a variety of exciting activities for your child. Camp runs from 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Drop your son off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon.

Under the supervision of trained staff, boys are grouped in dens based on their rank next fall. They will have a week of shooting bows and arrows, swimming, making crafts, playing sports, and most of all HAVING FUN! It is a great way for your son to spend part of his summer as a "Knight In The Woods"!

On Friday, you are invited to join your son, other campers, and their families for a closing campfire featuring songs, games, and skits. Come see for yourself why your son comes home each day with a large smile on his face!

Camp is open to all boys who will be entering the first through fifth grade in the fall of 2008.

CUB SCOUT CUB & PARENT WEEKENDS

Experience all of the summer fun and excitement that awaits you at the Cub Scout Weekend summer camping at Camps Bullowa & Nooteeming. 300 acres of outdoor adventure, boating on Lake Boyce or Lake 'Quick', Archery and BB ranges, Handicraft and Scoutcraft, and a nationally recognized program provided by an enthusiastic and energetic Camp Staff are beckoning Cub Scouts and Parents.

This is where the Scouting program comes alive! It is the ultimate experience of weekend camping to strengthen your year-round Scouting program while allowing parents & sons to spend time together, and allowing scouts to experience all that Scouting has to offer.

NOOTEEMING CUB PARENT WEEKENDS

Follow the trails of adventure to Dutchess County where a parent and Cub Scout have a great opportunity to experience the great outdoors with other members of your den and pack at our two Camp Nooteeming Cub Parent Weekends!

This is the ultimate experience of weekend camping to strengthen your year-round Scouting program while allowing parents and sons to spend quality time together, and showing scouts all that Scouting has to offer. This is where Scouting comes alive!

The weekend fee per pair includes four meals in the dining hall, tee shirt, patch, and craft project, shooting sports, archery, nature, campfire, and other unique activities based on your son's upcoming rank. Space is limited to 100 pairs a weekend!

May 30-June 1
June 20- 22

This is an adult (parent, guardian, or family-approved adult) & son weekend. Each Cub Scout must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older.

The cost is $85 a pair, if paid in full by April 30th. After May 1st the fee is $90 per pair. This covers the program, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Saturday night "cracker barrel", Sunday breakfast and a patch specially designed for your weekend. Additional adults may attend, but there is an additional $25 fee to cover food and program costs.

Space is limited and these exciting weekends always sell out quickly!

We will only accept 100 pairs/teams per weekend. Each adult-son team will be limited (initially) to one weekend. When making reservations, please indicate a first and second choice; we will try to accommodate your choice in dates. A waiting list, based on received date, will also be established when the 100 pairs/teams per weekend are reached. There is a $10 cancellation fee for any cancellations received less than three weeks before your weekend. *RESERVATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS.

You will be e-mailed a confirmation letter with a detailed list of what to bring to camp along with a Health History Form for each Cub Scout and each parent/adult. Bring the health forms with you to camp, filled out and signed by a parent or guardian; state law will not allow you to attend without this Health History Form completed and at the camp that weekend.

Please specify on the reservation form which program (Wolf, Bear, Webelos I or II) your son will be choosing, based on the grade he will be entering in September 2008. Webelos must also choose an Activity Badge preference. Rank his preferences from most wanted (1) to least (3). Mark an X for any Badge he has already earned.

BULLOWA CUB & PARENT WEEKEND!

Do you want a great introduction to the fun of summer camp adventure? Come to the May 30-June 1 Cub & Parent Weekend at Camp Bullowa in Stony Point!

Spend the weekend in Rockland County with your son doing things like fishing, archery, nature, arts & crafts, BB guns, campfire, singing songs, skits and s'mores!

This program is open to all registered Cub Scouts- from Tigers to Webelos II. All you need to bring to camp is a decent tent, sleeping gear, and an appetite for fun!

We encourage packs to come as a group!

The Bullowa Adventure Weekend has been totally redone for 2008 with the goal of providing a unique and memorable weekend where the adult and Cub Scout spend time together in a series of "adventures" throughout Camp Bullowa. This weekend will help you discover both the many facilities and activities available at Camp Bullowa and offer an introduction to the quality program available to all Cub Scouts who attend Bullowa Day Camp.

The program will start with your registration and tent setup Friday night and continue Saturday with a wide range of programs including Waterfront activities (rowing, fishing, water rescue) a Rain Gutter Regatta, Monkey Bridge, Catapult, BB Shooting, Cooking in a card board box, Archery, Hiking and many other activities. (Note- some activities may change, be added or deleted due to last minute changes) Saturday will end with a Campfire Program. Our weekend will end with a special surprise activity Sunday morning following a Non-Denominational Service.

Food will be provided as part of your fee and include snacks Friday and Saturday nights, Breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings, Saturday lunch and Dinner. There will be beverages throughout the weekend.

Upon registration you will receive a packet with complete details of activities, and materials to brings, but here are a few things you will need:

Tents and personal "camping" equipment
Flashlight, non breakable cup, pocket knife
Class "A" Uniform (adult also if have)
Comfortable shoes for hiking/walking
Other miscellaneous items for your personal convenience

Fees: $85 a pair, if paid in full by April 30th. After May 1st, the fee is $90 per pair.
